About the Conference

 

The 1st International Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Conference is to be held in Riyadh on 20-22 November 2012. It is first of its kind to be organized by the Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SSEM) at international level. Invitations are being sent out to over forty (40) speakers both local & international, and about one thousand (1000) medical professional attendees from kingdom and the GCC region are expected to attend. Upon their respective attendance, the attendees shall be awarded with thirty (30) CME hours accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).

The program is implemented to cover all those subjects related to Endocrinology, Dibetes, and Metabolism for both adults and pediatrics such as disorders of pituitary, thyrioid, adrenals, etc., as well as diabetes diseases, and metabolic bone disorders.

The program is set up with the objectives as such to update the healthcare professionals on the major topics of Endocrinology and Diabetes, also to promote the communication and networking among the attendees and the instituitions at local, regional and international levels, as well as to offer recommendations in regard to the best clinical practice.

The formats of the conference shall be planery lectures, lectures, workshops, and meet the expert.


About the Society (Organizer)

 

The Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SSEM) is a scientific health society in the field of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for both adults and pediatrics with its services covering all provinces over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It was established under the umbrella of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCHS) on 29th August 2009 with a mission to provide educational and other professional services for health professionals, the public and authorities in relation to the aspects of its field.

The SSEM management and operation are supervised by the board of directors which is composed of eleven (11) members elected by the general assembly of SSEM.


Conference Steering Committee

 

The management of SSEM has formed a conference steering committee consisting of eighteen (18) members, who themselves are professional endocrinologists and experts in their respective specialties. The committee is dedicated to oversee and steer the processes of organizing the conference in the manner in which it would be best delivered.
